WHAT JESUS TAUGHT ABOUT HEAVEN? ( Part 1 )

At the Last Supper, after Judas left to betray Him, Jesus sat with eleven ordinary men who will transform the world.

What was His farewell message to them?

He knew what lay ahead of them when they take His gospel into the hostile world - rejection, persecution, isolation from their families, and even martyrdom.

But He knew a crystal clear view of eternity and of their future home in Heaven will sustain them through their forthcoming trials and tribulations.

So He presented them with a vision of a clear, real, tangible, and attractive Heaven.

" Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in Me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am."( John 14:1-3 ).

Abba Father, so many believers have a cavalier attitude towards Heaven. They fail to understand that Heaven matters now in this life. Indeed God's people perish or are shipwrecked in their faith in Christ without such a vision in the storms of life.

Proverbs 28:18

18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
