The apostle Paul addressed many themes and topics throughout his 13 epistles.

The five most prominent of his teachings are on:

1.The Lordship of Christ

2.Resurrection

3.Justification

4.Grace

5.Faith

Today we focus on The Lordship of Christ.

Our resurrected Jesus confirmed his Lordship when He said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” (Matthew 28:18).

Paul took this revelation so seriously that he warns us that  “If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed.” ( 1 Corinthians 16:22).

So he took it as his solemn duty to share the gospel of our resurrected Lord and Saviour to as many as possible in his lifetime.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord " ( Romans 6:23 ).

In fact, the term “Lord” is cited almost some 300 times throughout Paul's writings.

Paul anchored every part of his teaching on the Lord Jesus Christ, emphasised, for example in his averting of personal focus when he said, “For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.” (2 Corinthians 4:5).

ABBA FATHER, Paul realised that the LORDSHIP OF CHRIST is our only saving grace. For the world as yet does not realise what eternal separation from You means nor do they understand that the eternal damnation of hell with all its torments await them. Help us to understand the urgency of proclaiming the gospel as we are all called to evangelise in the Great Commission.
