ENDNOTES

Heaven is real - something worth living for, working for and dying for.

So many believers have no sense of their final destination. They even joke that they want to go to heaven but are just too afraid to die. 

But this world is not our final home. We are just passing through here. Heaven is indeed a far better place than the best the world can offer.

In Heaven, we can gain access to all that God is. For all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places have been given to us as a Church in Christ ( Ephesians 1:3 ). Thus we will gain access to the entire universe, to perfect health, to uninterrupted peace, to incorruptible treasures, to unspoilt beauty.

The world is in its final days upon this earth. Let us live in this confident expectation of heaven as a victorious Church. This would change the way we live for Christ every remaining day of our lives.

Abba Father, may we give You our all in all in serving You and sharing the truth of Your gospel with others when there is still time. For there will be a reward for those who diligently labour for Your glory - the glorious promise of eternal rest in Your everlasting presence. For that one day will be worth it all - that day of endless gain when all our labour will be rewarded. For indeed You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You ( Hebrews 11:6 ). And we can fully understand the meaning and appreciate the value of Your gift of eternal life.
