Q n A about Heaven #14
THE LAST WORD
God invites us to view life and death from His eternal perspective.
But we are so caught up in the here and now - and sometimes so stuck in the past - that we forget and ignore the truths of Heaven.
The repeated witness of the New Testament is that we should view our entire existence - and its attendant problems - from the perspective of God and His Kingdom first, followed by the varying aspects of our earthly existence.
This was what Christ taught in
Matthew 6:33
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Abba Father, the decision we make about Heaven and the free offer of salvation based on the death of our Lord is the most important decision we will ever make in our mortal lives. For Heaven is our present hope and eternal home. Although its location far exceeds our imagination and comprehension, it is "a realm of inexpressible glory". For it is where Your gift of eternal life is truly found - in Your everlasting Presence. "And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever" ( Psalm 23: 6 ).
