WHAT ABOUT OUR EARTHLY MARRIAGE IN HEAVEN?

1. Paul teaches that although our relationships will be perfect in heaven, there will be no marriage.

In 1 Corinthians 7:29-31, he wrote that the "form" ( Schema in Greek ) of this world is passing away. The relationships of this world, including marriage, will one day no longer exist " so that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none".

2. Jesus Himself said that marriage is only a temporal union for this life.  "For in the resurrection, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven " ( Matt. 22:29-30 ).

Abba Father, Paul is not questioning the legitimacy of earthly blessings such as marriage. What he is saying is we should not be entangled in this passing world. Concentrate on the things of the Lord, because marriage is only a temporary solution. While married couples are heirs together of the grace of this life, the institution of marriage will pass away. We may not quite understand this now but there are higher eternal values in Heaven that we have yet to experience.
