2. PAUL ON THE RESURRECTION OF OUR LORD 

The second of the five most prominent teachings of Paul focuses on the Resurrection.

Paul's insight into the Resurrection is simply remarkable. For no one has ever been resurrected from the dead to be accounted for a living god who lives forevermore! 

Where did he get it from?

1. We know he was a former member of the Pharisees, who unlike the Sadducees, believed in the Resurrection from the dead.

2. The Holy Spirit would have inspired him from the teachings of Christ on such an extraordinary topic. John the apostle recorded one such teaching of Jesus who said that “all who are in their graves would hear his voice and come out, those who lived righteously to a resurrection of life and those who have done evil to a resurrection of judgment.” (John 5:28-29)

3.  Otherwise there appears to be no other source than the revelations apparently given to him. (2 Corinthians 12:7).

ABBA FATHER, so central is this doctrine as a tenet of faith that Paul wrote with a deep conviction that

" If Jesus was not resurrected, we are all believing a myth" (1 Corinthians 12:15-23). 

In verse 20, Paul again asserts what the gospel accounts tell, that: “But now Christ is risen from the dead…".

Thus in the sinner's prayer for salvation,  his words are quoted: " that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." ( Romans 10:9 ).
