THE ONE NEW MAN IN CHRIST ( Part 3 )

EPHESIANS 3:8-9

The glories of the One New Man in Christ have not been fully realised since Paul shared this amazing revelation in his epistle to the Ephesians.

Many churches have veered away from their Jewish roots or disassociated themselves completely from the Jews with their so-called Replacement Theology ( that the Church as spiritual Israel is the true Israel of God ).

Thus the One New Man in Christ has not reached its full potential as revealed to Paul  "that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ."... "to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hidden in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ " ( Ephesians 3:8-9 ).

Thus Paul, under the Spirit's leading, wrote down the good news that spiritual things hidden from the world's beginning are now universally available to mankind.

And the vehicle to unfold such a glorious manifestation on earth is the One New Man in Christ ( a Church of both Jewish and Gentile believers of Christ ). As a commentator wrote:

1. God was creating a church where both Jews and Gentiles would be baptized into it, making no difference between them.

2. This Church would be the mystical body of Christ.

3. He would raise it higher than angels, and seat it with Himself in the heavenlies.

4. It will share fully and forever all that Christ has.

5. It would be His crowning masterpiece.

6. Creation itself, the showpiece of God's eternal power and godhead, would pale before the everlasting spledours of the church.

Abba Father, we can imagine Christ Himself, in his battle-scarred human body ( the nail-scarred hands and feet, the deep wound on His side ), sitting down at God's right hand, turning to His Father and saying, " Now, Father, let us send the Holy Spirit to bring home My Bride."
