THE GLORY OF GOD ( PART 7)
In Exodus 33:19, God told Moses:
“I will cause all my GOODNESS to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim My Name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But,’ He said, ‘you cannot see My Face, for no one may see me and live.’
Let us study the Hebrew meaning for GOODNESS.
The Hebrew word for GOODNESS is TUWB. It means, “good in the widest sense.” In other words, nothing is withheld. So as God responded to Moses’ request, He was actually telling him, I will withhold nothing from you. Everything I have, My power, My authority, My strength, and My splendor will go with you on this journey to save My people.
All the characteristics of God were promised to Moses at that time. How powerful such an experience must have been and what confidence Moses must have had after that. He was filled at that moment with everything he could attribute to God. He probably felt like he could conquer the world!
We have such a limited view of the Glory of God today. We make it out to be this ethereal thing that no one can attain or experience. Worse it is something that only Moses could have or other great men and women of faith. But we assume it is not out there for us.
But we can have it today just as much as Moses had it. Maybe you are wanting to do more in the Kingdom of God. Maybe you are faced with a tough situation and need some supernatural help from the heavenly realm. You need the Glory of God!
His Glory is not a ghostly blanket. We need the very characteristics of God to come alive in our lives. We need Him to look at us and say, “I will withhold NOTHING from you. Whatever you need, I can give you.”
What a powerful revelation that we can have it! You see, when nothing is withheld from the throne room of God, the power comes with it as well. The power that equips us to serve the Lord. The power that causes us to break free of any old traditions or strongholds. The power that propels us forward with the full backing of our Heavenly Father.
Abba Father, we need to pray more - to ask for Your Glory to be revealed in our lives. You desire to withhold nothing from us. May we be filled with everything You have for us today!
