God is faithful, and He grants that quality to His children. The Holy Spirit produces in believers His faithfulness. As a result, we believe God is who He says He is and that He will do what He says He will do. 

His faithful character directly affects our lives as the Bible testifies:

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." 

(Lamentations 3:22-23).

We have nothing to fear as we wait for Him to fulfill His promises. This assurance is a fruit of the Spirit.

It is not surprising then that when His Holy Spirit lives in us, He will produce the same characteristic in us: we are thus called to be faithful as God is faithful to us.

As a result of the Spirit's transformation, we mean what we say, we do what we say we will do, and we can be depended on to be consistent in the way we treat people - in all that we say and do.

Faithfulness turns out to have a lot to do with integrity, treating others with a consistency of love that reflects the constant love of our Father.

Abba Father,  I want to thank You that every time I come to You in prayer, I know You will hear and answer my prayers because of Your great faithfulness.

Give me the strength to be faithful to You, to follow You more closely, and live a life of more consistent commitment to Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.

None of this is the result of my own efforts, but by meditating on Your faithfulness to me and by walking day by day in step with the Holy Spirit as He guides and transforms me to bear this segment of the precious Fruit of the Spirit.
