Shana Tova. The Jewish New Year 5781 has come.

What lesson can we glean from these numbers?

This is a short take. In Hebrew, numbers are also consonants and vice versa.

80 is the letter Pey ( Mouth ) and 1 is the letter Aleph ( God ). They add up to the Mouth of God or His Spoken Word.

So this year we are encouraged to speak forth the Word that proceeded from the Mouth of God e.g. His blessings and promises over our problems and life situations.

Let not the Covid Pandemic have the last word. Let us therefore speak forth in blessing or in prayer God's Words of Healing for the world, our nation and the church.

As Jesus said in Mat.4:4 - 

"... It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
